Mourinho not interested in international management
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho seems to have ruled out the possibility of ever managing a national football team.
Mourinho hinted that a role of that nature would not work for him, as he needs to be with his players regularly.
The 49-year-old said: “I need to be with players, on the pitch and the dressing room and every day.
"I like to train every day and see my players three times a week.”
Mourinho, who won La Liga with Real Madrid last season, has won league titles in England, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Despite his phenomenal club level success, Mourinho does not seem to have any interest in managing at international level.
“I love to train 400 times a year and manager 60 or 70 games,” he explained.
Mourinho’s Real Madrid side have been drawn in the Champions League group stages against Premier League champions Manchester City, Ajax and Bundesliga kings Borussia Dortmund.
He Madrid side sit a below-par ninth after three games.
