Hornets bag young starlet

Horsham manager Hugo Langton has signed highly-rated 19-year old Kery Kedze from Croydon Athletic.

The midfielder scored twice against the Hornets in a pre-season friendly for his old club and Langton admits he has been keeping a close eye on him.

“Kery and I have moved in similar circles for a while now,” he said.  “He came to Thamesmead when I was a coach, but for whatever reason the manager didn’t fancy him. But he was good enough to catch the eye of Martin Allen, who invited him for a trial at Notts County.

“He tore us apart at Croydon pre-season and I’m really looking forward to seeing what he can do for us.”

Kedze is expected to go straight into the team for a Sussex Senior Cup clash against Littlehampton Town tonight.
