Bournemouth snap up winger Grabban

AFC Bournemouth are set to sign Lewis Grabban from League Two side Rotherham United, subject to a medical.

The 24-year-old winger agreed personal terms with the Cherries’ earlier in the week and the deal should go through by the weekend.

Bournemouth assistant manager Shaun Brooks admitted they have been following Grabban for some time.

Talking to, he said: “'We've followed Lewis' career over the last two or three years, but it really took off last year when he went to Rotherham and scored a lot of goals.

"He believes in what we are trying to do as a football club, so he's got all the right attributes that we are looking for in a player that can move this club forward.”

Grabban had been in talks with Crawley Town but failed to agree personal terms.

The player becomes the South Coast side’s second signing of the summer.
