Sacked Sturrock will lead Southend out at Wembley despite Brown's appointment
Paul Sturrock will still lead Southend United out at Wembley on April 7, despite being sacked on Sunday.
Southend have appointed Phil Brown (pictured) as their new manager, but Sturrock will lead his former team out for their Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Crewe.
Former Hull boss Brown has been out of management since December 2011. He will take charge of Friday's League Two trip to Bradford City.
Brown, who led Hull City to the Premier League in 2008, is aiming to secure a play-off spot this term, but has his work cut out as Southend are six points adrift of a top seven spot.
He was put on gardening leave by Hull in March 2010, before his departure was confirmed in the summer, following reports that the club owed him £1.4m.
Brown was interviewed for the Coventry City managerial vacancy earlier this season before Mark Robins was handed the role, and he was also considered for a first team coaching role at Hartlepool United.
