Ex pros are key to Wembley’s FA Cup hopes
Wembley survived a superb Uxbridge comeback on Sunday as they let a two goal lead slip, before eventually drawing with their opponents.
The replay is on Wednesday night, live on ESPN.
Wembley have been top billing in the preliminary rounds of the FA Cup this year thanks to their high profile ex pro signings including Brian McBride, David Seaman and Ray Parlour (pictured) all under the stewardship of Terry Venables.
Former Argentina international Claudio Caniggia has already notched for the non-league side in this season’s competition.
So, the Wembley adventure continues, but they are 10,000/1 outsiders to win the competition.
Manchester City are the favourites with a number of bookmakers to win the FA Cup this season, with Chelsea and Manchester United the joint second favourites.
Good outside bets include 10/1 Liverpool (10/1), 16/1 Everton (16/1), 25/1 Sunderland (25/1), and 50/1 rated Swansea, West Brom and West Ham.
