Beckham keen to return to action for PSG
David Beckham says he is keen to get back to action with Paris Saint Germain after his tour of China.
The former England skipper, who will be 28 on May 2, flew back to Paris on Sunday after a five day trip to China, as part of a new role he has undertaken as ambassador for youth football and the Chinese Super League.
With a hectic schedule that took in visits to Beijing, Qingdao and Wuhan, Beckham had to make use of hotel gyms to stay in shape.
Known around the world for his expert free-kick and crossing technique, Becks managed to slip over while attempting to demonstrate the perfect free-kick to a group of Chinese footballers - although the fact that he was dressed in a suit and shoes was at least an opportunity for an excuse.
"Quite honestly, I've absolutely loved this trip to China, the welcome I've had and the cities I've visited," he said.
"Having said that, I must confess, I'm itching to put my suit to one side and get my boots on again."
Beckham has rejoined Carlo Ancelotti's PSG squad in preparation for Friday night's Ligue 1 clash with Montpellier in Paris and Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg against Barcelona.
PSG are currently top of Ligue 1, five points clear of second-placed Lyon, following their 2-2 draw at St Etienne on March 17.
