Olympiacos shock Arsenal in Athens
Olympiacos scored two late goals to sink Arsenal in Group 6 of the NextGen Series - which is effectively a Champions League for youth teams - at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens on Wednesday evening.
The two sides were eager to get forward and create chances but it wasn't until the 82nd minute when the deadlock was finally broken through Olympiacos midfielder Rafail Soukias.
Arsenal's night was made worse on 90 minutes when full back Hector Bellerin prevented a goalscoring opportunity and was sent off by the referee. The Greeks then scored a deflected goal from the resulting free-kick to complete a 2-0 win.
Marseille edged Athletic Club in an exciting encounter at the Marcel Cerdan in Group 6's other fixture on Wednesday tonight.
The Spaniards came into the match off the back of a 4-0 win at home to Olympiacos whilst Marseille were well beaten by Arsenal at the Underhill Stadium earlier this month.
The French started poorly, gifting a goal to Jurgi Oteo but hit back just before half-time through prolific striker Marcellin Anani.
Anani struck on 77 minutes to grab his second of the game and give Marseille a well deserved win.
The two results from Group 6 mean all four teams are on three points from two games, with Athletic Club topping the group on goal difference.

The Germans started powerfully, scoring two quickfire goals in the first 30 minutes through Albian Avdijaj and Philip Hauck to lead 2-0 at half-time.
Anderlecht fought hard in the second half and were rewarded for their work in the 72nd minute with an excellent finish from striker Massimo Bruno.
The Belgians pushed hard for an equaliser but Wolfsburg defended well and secured the three points which takes them to the top of Group One with Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona to play tomorrow.
