PSG boss wants Becks to extend his contract
Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti wants David Beckham to extend his contract with the Ligue 1 leaders.
The 37-year-old had 12 job offers after announcing he would be leaving LA Galaxy and opted for a five month deal with PSG in January.
The former England captain, who is donating his £1m salary to charity, has made four appearances in Ligue 1 - in a holding midfield role - and Ancelotti said: "I'm totally for David Beckham extending his contract."
Beckham's full debut in February saw PSG beat Marseille 2-0 in the French Cup, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring both goals.
PSG face last season's Ligue 1 champions Montpellier on Friday night and Ancelotti wants his players to remain focused on their goal of winning Ligue 1, with a Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona looming on Tuesday.
"This is a very important time of the season," said Ancelotti. "We should think about the game tomorrow and not the following matches.
"Montpellier are not in the battle for the title but they are a very good team - dangerous and organised."
Thiago Motta will miss the game against Montpellier and Tuesday's first leg against Barca with an adductor problem, with striker Ezequiel Lavezzi ruled out against Montpellier, as he is still recovering from playing at high altitude for Argentina in Bolivia.
