Robinson returns to Bolton after Leeds spell

Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has confirmed that defender Paul Robinson is unlikely to be signed on a permanent deal, following his return to Bolton after his loan spell at Elland Road came to an end last weekend.

The 33-year-old was left out of the squad to face Leicester on Saturday and is now available for Wanderers’ final three Premier League games.

“I don’t think I’ll be taking him next season and if that’s the case then I didn’t want him getting injured in a nothing game,” said Warnock.

The former QPR manager will meet with his squad on Wednesday to discuss his plans for next season and which players will be offloaded in the summer.

Robinson follows already departed defender Ben Parker and Finnish midfielder Mika Vayrynen out of the Elland Road exit door.

Loanee Darren O’Dea will return to Celtic in the summer after Warnock decided against making his move permanent.
