Allardyce wants Sunderland winger

Ahmed Elmohamady is wanted by promotion-chasing West Ham.

Sunderland’s Egyptian winger admitted this week that his future may lie away from Wearside, after failing to make a single start under Martin O’Neill.

The 24-year-old appears to have no future at Sunderland under their current manager, after being restricted to just 32 minutes in seven sub appearances since O'Neill took over in December.

West Ham could offer him an escape route but only if Sam Allardyce’s side return to the Premier League.

Elmohamady has said he is only interested in joining another Premier League side.
