Fulham youngster heads to Edgar Street

Hereford United have swooped to take Richard Peniket on loan.

The Bulls have won just four of their 16 fixtures in League Two this season, a sequence which sees them lying in 20th position in the table. The main problem for Jamie Pitman’s side is their lack of goals, with a return of 13 being the second worst in the division.

This is a situation the Edgar Street club have moved to resolve with a swoop for Peniket, who is currently under contract at Fulham. The Premier League side have agreed to loan the 18-year-old out for an initial period of one month, so he can challenge for a first team spot.

The Wales Under-19 international striker, who stands at 6ft 3in tall, could now make his debut for his temporary club on Saturday, when promotion chasing Crawley Town visit.
