Oxford winger signs new deal

Oxford United winger Alfie Potter has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2012-13 season, with an option for an extra year.

The 22-year-old, who has appeared in every game so far for the U’s, is delighted to commit his future to the club.

He said: “I’ve loved it from the first minute I came on loan. It is a great club going forward, great coaching staff and great fans.”

Potter originally joined the Us from Peterborough on loan in the 2009-10 season before making his move permanent in July 2010.

“I'm loving it here and really enjoying my football at the moment and I'm glad I've got a new contract sorted so early in the season so I can get my head down,” he said. "The gaffer has put together a really good squad and hopefully we can push on now.”
